2023 Women’s wellness brunch

Service2Sumter held it’s first Women’s Wellness Brunch. Co-Sponsor and host of the brunch, TaSharri Washington, invited OB/GYN Dr. Simon (Women’s Wellness Institute Meridian, MS) and Licensed Professional Counselor, Paula Davis (PNP Counseling (Waynesboro, MS) to speak to 50 women of rural Sumter County, AL about grief, postpartum depression, endometriosis, breast cancer, menopause, and other subjects related to Women’s Wellness. The women in attendance were allowed to ask questions relating to overall female health by the health care professionals. The women enjoyed brunch entrees like shrimp and grits, chicken sausage, wheat waffles, fruit, and chicken while enjoying live music.

Dr. Paula Davis, LPC of PNP COUNSELING Waynesboro, MS. Dr. Davis spoke about the importance of mental health, self care, and postpartum depression and health.
