We are passionate about serving children as well as adults through programs that build confidence and create opportunity. In summer 2025, we launched our first 1st Step Math Boot Camp for rising first graders, an innovative program designed to introduce students to foundational math concepts before the first day of school, helping them develop familiarity, confidence, and excitement about learning. Sponsored by the Community Foundation of West Alabama, the program received rave reviews from both parents and students for its impact and engaging approach. Because of its success, Service2Sumter will fully sponsor the 2026 1st Step Math Boot Camp for rising second graders out of pocket, continuing our commitment to investing in young learners and giving children a strong first step toward academic success.
